The Oakland Tribune reports Losman, JaMarcus Russell or Charlie Frye could serve as the starter for Sunday’s game at Denver if Gradkowski cannot play due to injured knee ligaments. Gradkowski suffered the injury during this past Sunday’s loss to Washington.
Losman recently won a title in the new United Football League as quarterback for Las Vegas. He played 42 games, starting 33 of them, with Buffalo from 2004-08 and connected on 59.3 percent of his passes for 6,211 yards with 33 TDs and 34 interceptions.
